Brown County Humane Society Hiawatha

Goal: $20,000.00

Specific Need

Hi! Last year 439 dogs and cats came into the shelter making for a very busy but an amazing year! This year we have been really focusing on our community outreach program to help slow the influx of animals coming into BCHS! Our outreach program helps families spay/neuter their pets, temporarily providing dog/cat food if one month resources are short, and just educating to help keep pets with their families! So far this year we have help spay/neuter over 100 dogs and cats in the surrounding communities!! 1 unspayed female and 1 unneutered male (and their offspring) can reproduce 512 dogs or 382 cats in a 3 yr period!! That along with the health benefits are why we are so passionate about spaying and neutering! But... that gets expensive so we are asking for donations so we can continue to help the community animals and our amazing lil shelter! We have been blessed with a couple grants/donations this year to help out but we are really low on funds at the moment! Thank you soooo much for all your continued support!!! We appreciate you!!
