Hiawatha Foundation for Economic Development

Goal: $10,000.00

Specific Need

Brown County requires more skilled trades professionals to serve its communities in the areas of plumbing, HVAC, construction, and mechanics. Your generous donations will be used to provide $2500 cash incentives for recent recipients of certificates or degrees from accredited post-secondary trade schools, vocational colleges, or technical degree programs to live and work in Brown County within their chosen professions.

Trade careers are in high demand, and these graduates have many options upon completing their education. We want to offer hometown graduates the opportunity to return and start their careers here. Additionally, we aim to attract new residents and encourage them to put down roots in Brown County. Incentives funded by your donations will help Hiawatha stand out among other communities, significantly increasing the likelihood that these new professionals will choose Hiawatha as the place to establish their careers and homes.

Mission

To grow Hiawatha by recruiting new business and retaining current business
