Students Champion Fund
Thanks to previous years' donors in the Hiawatha area, NEK-CAP, Inc. has helped local students with various needs. From school enrollment fees and school supplies to a supplies for a college course...your donations have helped over 10 students with about $1200. Thank you so much to our donors!
The NEK-CAP, Inc., Students Champion Fund helps students within the USD 415 school district with school-related or youth activity fees/supplies to improve student connections to physical, education, and social needs. Each youth whose families fall in the Low-Median Income (up to 80% of the Area-Median Income of Brown County) are eligible to receive up to $125 of assistance per 12 months.
Purposes of the funds include:
- Sports fees, prom fees, scout fees, 4-H fees
- School Activity fees-music, scholars bowl, drama, etc
- Book fees, technology fees, graduation-related fees
- Latchkey fees, haircuts, pool pass punch card
- Hygiene cabinet supplies for the schools
- Other activities determined to help students with social-emotional connections and student success
